Robot Welding/Cutting Fume and Dust Controlling Solutions

  • Case

The principle of robot welding fumes controlling is similar to that of controlling manual welding fumes . However, the challenge lies in the long working hours and high intensity of the robots, as they are not fixed in place and can be moved at any time. Therefore, a solution is needed that can efficiently collect workshop fumes without interfering with the robot's work.

I. Control Solution for Robot Welding Fumes

Robot Welding Fumes

This case involves two robot welding workstations. Each workstation uses a 3KW industrial dust collector with an airflow of 4500m³/h. The robot and the dust collector are linked for control. When the robot is welding, the welding fume extractor starts; when the robot stops welding, the fume extractor shuts down.

II. Robotic Plasma Cutting Fume and Dust Control Solution

This is a field application of the robotic plasma cutting arc-starting plate. A 7.5KW cartridge dust collector is used, with an airflow of 7000-10000 m³/h. Fumes generated by the robot cutting enter the dust collector through a duct via a dust collection hood, achieving compliant emissions. Valves and equipment are linked with the robot, completing the transmission and exchange of all control signals and related data, as well as controlling the cutting status.

III. Solution Advantages

Highly adaptable, non-disruptive and highly efficient, achieving compliant purification while being energy-saving and easy to maintain. The equipment is safe and durable, providing enterprises with an integrated safety and environmental protection solution. In summary, this solution addresses the core challenges of robotic operations by using two customized devices and a linked control design. It avoids interference with robot operations while achieving precise fume collection and compliant emissions. Whether in welding workstations or plasma cutting scenarios, it balances treatment effectiveness and production efficiency, providing a practical and feasible implementation path for industrial robot fume control, helping enterprises adhere to environmental protection standards and ensure operational safety.
