Delivery of Plasma Cutting Fume Extraction Project for CNC Gantry Cutting Machine at a Pipe Fitting Processing Center in Jiangyin

This project is for a pipe fitting processing center in Jiangyin equipped with a CNC gantry plasma cutting machine. Based on on-site working conditions, adopted Moland fume extraction unit and a hood-suction fume extraction system, with the fume collection hood capable of moving left/right, forward/backward, and lifting up/down.

The system is equipped with a 15KW intelligent fume extraction unit (industrial dust collector) from Moland Environmental. By setting the cutting path in the Moland control system and matching the operator’s cutting speed and workpiece length, the gantry fume hood achieves real-time tracking of cutting fumes, ensuring timely capture and purification of fumes generated during cutting.

To improve production efficiency, reduce operating costs and minimize manual intervention, the remote control is integrated with the lifting mechanism. All movements—including up/down, left/right, forward/backward travel and lifting—can be operated via remote control. Parameters such as movement speed can be adjusted in the PLC intelligent control system as needed.

The workshop also houses a fixed-position plasma cutting machine, for which another hood-suction system is applied according to on-site conditions. It is equipped with a 7.5KW intelligent fume extraction unit from Moland Environmental. The fume collection hood can rotate and lift vertically, which does not interfere with workpiece hoisting while effectively capturing fumes during cutting.

After actual operation, Moland’s plasma cutting fume extraction equipment has received unanimous praise from the customer. It has successfully resolved fume pollution during the cutting process and effectively protected the occupational health of on-site workers.
