We are pleased to announce the successful delivery and commissioning of titanium alloy grinding dust collection equipment for a leading Shandong energy equipment company. We designed this project to solve titanium alloy grinding dust pollution. It also meets strict requirements for energy conservation, environmental protection and operational safety, providing the client with a safe, clean production environment.

Titanium alloy is widely used in high-end fields like energy, aerospace and chemical industries. It boasts high strength, corrosion resistance and light weight. Project Overview & Core Requirements

This project includes 4 sets of grinding dust collection equipment and 1 grinding room. We designed all equipment specifically for the client’s titanium alloy grinding workstations. The client put forward the following core requirements:

• Reasonable and compact equipment layout, saving workshop space;
• Emphasis on energy-saving measures, rational use of energy to reduce operational costs;
• Long-term reliable operation to ensure the continuity of production;
• Meet the relevant pollutant discharge standards in the environmental impact assessment report, and comply with national policies and regulations on environmental protection, labor safety and health;
• Effectively control titanium alloy grinding dust, prevent dust overflow, and ensure the safety and health of operators.

Grinding Dust Collection System Design & Key Features

Grinding Room Design

The grinding room features an integral steel structure frame, built with anti-corrosion keels. We use carbon steel spray-painted sheet metal for its plates, ensuring excellent corrosion resistance and durability. This design adapts to harsh industrial environments. To guarantee indoor air quality and recycle energy, we installed air supply ducts on both sides of the roof. The equipment purifies air, which then blows into the room through jet nozzles via the ducts. This achieves efficient air internal circulation, saves energy and maintains stable workshop temperature and air quality.

We also installed a retractable electric awning on the grinding room’s roof. It retracts during workpiece hoisting to facilitate operation. During grinding, it opens to cover the entire room and prevent dust spread. To enhance dust control, we added air curtains on both sides of the door. These curtains form an invisible barrier, effectively blocking dust overflow and confining dust to the grinding room.

The grinding room to be treated measures 10m (length) × 10m (width) × 6m (height), with a total volume of 600m³. We customized a scientific equipment selection plan to ensure efficient dust collection. The details of grinding dust collectors are as follows:

• Humanized Design: The cabinets adopt a down-suction and up-exhaust internal circulation mode. We designed them to improve the workshop working environment while meeting production process requirements. We focused on operators’ working conditions, equipment reliability and ease of operation and maintenance. Dust-containing gas enters the cabinet through the air inlet. A spoiler disperses it evenly around the filter element, and dust adheres to the element’s outer surface. Purified gas exits through the filter cartridge and upper air outlet. The dust collection box uses a push-pull drawer design for quick, convenient ash cleaning. An upper ash discharge plate ensures all dust falls into the box, avoiding accumulation and secondary pollution.
