I.Project Background & Challenges

Silicon material processing in CNC machining centers generates large amounts of fine dust. Specifically, this dust endangers workers’ health, impacts production precision and equipment service life, and even fails to meet international environmental standards. As a result, our team provided a customized, efficient and energy-saving dust collection solution for a Liaoning-based CNC machining workshop.

II.Dust Collection Equipment Selection & Core Advantages

We selected two high-performance dust collectors to fit different working conditions, and their core advantages are popular among global CNC enterprises. First of all, the MLWF500 (5.5KW, 5000~7000m³/h) is suitable for dense lathes with high dust output. It has a high efficient filter, which effectively prevents dust accumulation and secondary pollution. Besides, the MLWF400 (3KW, 2000m³/h) works well for sparse lathes with moderate dust output. In addition, both models operate stably and have low noise (≤75dB). They also feature energy-saving intelligent frequency conversion, thus reducing energy consumption by 15%-20% compared with traditional dust removal equipment. Furthermore, they are easy to maintain, with detachable and quick-replace filters that further lower maintenance costs.

III.Customized Dust Collection Solution

The workshop’s lathes are unevenly distributed, which is a key challenge for dust collection. To solve this problem effectively, we adopted a decentralized dust collection plan. First, after careful on-site investigation, we matched the dust removal hosts rationally: one 5.5KW host for 6 lathes and one 3KW host for 3 lathes. In total, we deployed 21 sets dust collectors. Consequently, this ensures each lathe’s dust is captured timely without mutual interference.
