The dust removal project at a power equipment company in Shanghai has been completed
Shanghai Power Co., Ltd. is an energy equipment manufacturer. During the production process, welding and grinding of workpieces generate smoke and dust.
To improve the production site environment, ensure employees' occupational health, boost work efficiency, and meet environmental protection requirements, the company decided to use the Meilan dust removal system to treat emissions and ensure they meet standards before being released.
Centralized dust removal system in the workshop
For the on-site situation, the welding fume treatment uses the Meilan MLWF3000C dust removal system, with a power of 22KW, an air volume of 30,000 m³/h, and a filtration area of 345㎡.
The whole system operates fully automatically with just one button, offering multiple control modes, automatic ash cleaning, and offline backblowing functions.
According to the on-site conditions, a double-suction dust removal system is used. The dust pipes have multiple suction openings, and welding smoke is drawn into the ducts through these openings, then into the main dust collector. After being purified by the filter cartridge, it is discharged up to standard.
Grinding Dust Removal Cabinet
The client’s grinding area has a 12m x 12m grinding workshop. Based on the on-site conditions, it’s equipped with a Meilan Environmental MLWF1600DM model grinding dust removal cabinet, with an air volume of 1500 m³/h and a filtration area of 80㎡.
The sanding cabinets are installed on both sides of the sanding room. They use a purification system where air is drawn from the bottom and expelled from the top. Dust generated from sanding enters the cabinet through the air inlet, first passes through a baffle, and the dusty air is evenly distributed around the filter cartridge. Dust gets trapped on the surface of the filter, and the purified air then exits from the top outlet of the cabinet into the standard outdoor discharge area.。
Laser Cutting Dust Collector
There are two 6025 fully enclosed laser cutting machines with a switch table in the customer’s cutting area.
Since the materials being cut by the two machines are different, and based on the characteristics of the smoke and dust generated, one machine is equipped with a 10,000 airflow explosion-proof dust collector, while the other laser cutting machine is paired with a 10,000 airflow smart dust collector.
Two dust collection units are placed at appropriate spots around the laser cutting machine. The dust collector's suction port is connected to the reserved air duct on the laser cutter with a PU hose, capturing smoke and dust right at the source without affecting normal production. The collected dust is purified by the dust collector and then discharged according to standards.
