Solutions for controlling robot welding/cutting fumes
The principle of controlling welding fumes from robots is similar to that of manual welding, but the challenge lies in the fact that robots work long hours, under high intensity, and aren’t fixed—they can move around at any time.
Therefore, it’s necessary to find a solution that doesn’t interfere with the robot’s work while efficiently collecting fumes in the workshop.
Robot Welding Workstation Purification Equipment
This case involves two robot welding workstations, each using a 3KW dust removal main unit with an airflow of about 4500m³/h.
The robot and the dust collector main unit are controlled together: when the robot is welding, the dust collector starts; when the robot stops welding, the dust collector shuts off.
Robot Plasma Cutting Dust Removal and Purification Equipment
This is the site where the robot uses a plasma cutting arc starter plate. It uses a 7.5KW dust collector with an airflow of 7000-10000 m³/h. The smoke and dust generated by the robot cutting are collected through a hood and transported via ducts into the dust collector for standard-compliant discharge. The valves and equipment are linked with the robot, handling all control signals and data exchange, as well as controlling the cutting status.
