Dust explosion-When combustible dust suspended in the air touches a fire source such as an open flame or electric spark, it releases a large amount of energy, generates high temperature, and releases a large amount of gas in a very short time, causing a high-pressure chemical reaction in the surrounding medium.
To avoid combustible dust explosion, we can start from the following two points: one is to control the concentration of combustible dust in the workshop, and the other is to eliminate fire on the spot. Regarding the second point, the elimination of on-site fires, fireworks, regular inspections of wires and lines, etc. must be strictly prohibited in the workshop to cultivate the safety knowledge of each employee.

The concentration of combustible dust in the workshop must be controlled at the same time: each dust production point is equipped with a dust suction device, the negative pressure and air volume of the dust suction port should meet the actual working conditions, the explosion-proof Dust Collector, advanced and effective automatic Dust removal device, anti-static filter cartridge, timely cleaning of accumulated dust, installation of combustible dust concentration alarm, etc.

Dust Collector

1. Use explosion-proof electrical control cabinet to avoid arc ignition when starting.
2. Install an explosion vent on the shell of the dust removal equipment to prevent dust explosion from damaging the dust removal equipment and other equipment in the plant.
3. The filter cartridge uses explosion-proof coated polyester fiber filter cartridge
4. The principle of filter cartridge cleaning:

The pneumatic pulse blowback system consists of an air bag, electromagnetic pulse valve, PLC controller, and compressed air. One end of the pulse valve is connected to a compressed air tank, and the other end is connected to a spray device. An exhaust valve is installed on the valve cover, and the exhaust valve is controlled by a PLC pulse controller. When there is no signal from the PLC controller, the movable baffle of the exhaust valve is in the position of closing the exhaust hole; when the program controller sends a signal, the movable baffle opens, and the compressed air in the air storage tank is quickly released from pressure, so the exhaust The corrugated membrane inside the valve is pressed in the opposite direction, the jet port is opened, and the compressed air enters the filter cartridge through the pulse valve for blowing and cleaning. When the signal disappears, the movable baffle returns to the original position of closing the exhaust valve, and the corrugated membrane is closed again At the air jet port, the blowing stops automatically.


Each time the blowing and cleaning is completed in about 0.1~0.3S, it is the high-pressure air sprayed at this moment that has a good cleaning effect. The air enters the filter cartridge at a higher flow rate, causing the air in the filter cartridge to expand rapidly, causing a shock vibration, so that the dust attached to the outer surface of the filter cartridge is shaken off, and the dust adsorbed on the surface of the filter material shakes off to the collection under the action of the airflow. In the dust box. The pulse blowing air pressure is 0.4~0.6MPa, and the air supply must be kept constant during operation.


The filter cartridge is automatically cleaned in turn on a regular basis. When the filter cartridge is cleaned, it will not affect the normal operation of the equipment and system.
The smoke and dust fall into the ash bucket through the dust bucket and are cleaned regularly.
5. The solenoid valve uses explosion-proof solenoid valve to avoid arc ignition when starting.
6. Use explosion-proof motors to avoid arc ignition during startup.
7. The centrifugal fan has explosion-proof function
7.1. The impeller inside the centrifugal fan is made of aluminum alloy to avoid sparks when dust particles rub against the impeller.
7.2. The ferrule at the suction port of the centrifugal fan is made of copper ferrule to avoid sparks when the inlet dust enters the centrifugal fan.
8. Install explosion venting plate for ventilation and dust removal pipe
In order to prevent dust particles from exploding after being deposited inside the main ventilation and dust removal pipeline, it is necessary to install an explosion venting plate every 3 meters on the main ventilation and dust removal official road during the dust removal design. The explosion venting plate has the function of feeding back electrical signals. , When the explosion vent plate vents the explosion, an electrical signal will be sent to the electrical control part of the smoke and dust purifier. The electrical control part will cause the centrifugal fan inside the smoke and dust purification to stop through the PLC to protect the entire smoke and dust purification system.
